Product Description
One of the all-time favorite light truck tires just got better. The new KO design (Key on Off-road) incorporates numerous features to enhance all-terrain traction and control while delivering a quiet on-road ride and exceptionally long wear. An aggressive high-void All-Terrain tread design features interlocking elements that stabilize the tread's center and increase control during braking and acceleration while minimizing highway noise. A 3-ply polyester casing with TriGard construction gives exceptional bruise resistance under the tread and in the sidewall and improves handling and maneuverability. Its distinctive styling includes raised white letters on one side and black outlined serrated branding on the other.BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO Off-Road Tire - 225/75R16 115R Review
BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KOThese tires are in overall one of the best all-terrain tires. Their only weakness is mud because it tends to clog the voids in the tread blocks. A mudding tire has a specially designed tread that slings off the mud, but those don't work well on ice/snow or in the rain because they lack sipes that grip more in those conditions.
The starting tread depth is about half an inch, so the overall treadlife tends to be long. Just don't drive them too aggressively on dry pavement, because the same large voids that give it decent performance in snow/ice/gravel/wet pavement compromises dry traction.
The noise is not bad at all, and is only slightly louder than an aggressive car tire. The ride quality is exceptional. Even for a Load Range E tire, they tend to ride soft. Many of the BFG All-Terrains are rated for extreme snow use with the mountain/snowflake symbol on the sidewall. They are also OEM-equipped on the Ford Raptor, which is what impressed me the most. For a tire brand/model that has been produced for about 2 decades, they are still performing strong on the market.
Overall: 5/5 stars, I'd highly recommend them for a truck/van unless you are driving in 100% mud. I even use these on my car in the winter, finding the right size was a pain but it is worth it.
