Installed these items on my 2005 Toyota 4Runner, and so far I like them a lot. They boosted the front end approximately 2" which helps to level the front-end of the vehicle, so there's not so much rake to the vehicle stance. Not to mention giving you a little more ground clearance, which is what I appreciate. The shocks that come with these struts are the RS9000, which is a 9-point adjustable unit. I'm still testing the settings to see what I prefer, but set around "6" provides a very smooth highway ride. It was also recommended to use a spacer from Rancho on the rear springs that provides 1-1/2". From what I've read, they're guessing your rear springs will have a certain amount of sag as well, and this will ensure you don't end up with a higher front end condition. Remember the 2" provided by the front struts is 2" above "stock" height. In my situation the rear had not dropped much at all, but the fronts had all but collapsed, so I ended up still having somewhat more rake than I preferred. I then purchased the KT09117 kit from Daystar, which is "supposed" to provide and additional 1" to the front. By all of their ads I read, it should have been 1" but it turned out to be 2". Anyway, in the end it turned out to be fine overall. Note: It's a good idea to get your front-end aligned after this installation. Hope this helps anyone who is considering this upgrade. Most of the consumer Reviews tell that the "Rancho RS999913 Quick Lift Loaded Strut" are high quality item.
