I got these boots in a men's size for myself. I have big ankles and calves. I love the soft flex of the boot, comfort when riding and knowing all of the protection is there in the right places. The tops of the boots are soft but still they do dig into my shin a bit but this is easily relieved on my rides by simply adjusting my foot/leg position slightly, removing or moving the pressure point. All in all, I absolutely love these boots.
