Curt Manufacturing 14053 Class IV Receiver Review

I installed this hitch on a class C motorhome(ford van body). I had no problem installing except the holes did not line up with the pre drilled holes in the frame, I dont know why but it was really no big deal. I had to drill four out of six holes for the hitch to install. The rest of the hitch is built very heavy duty and appears to have a nice finish on it but only time will tell.

the venture jacket works fine. controller is a bit confusing to plug in with poor instructions but it eventually worked with trial and error. the thin microwire heating elements heat up very quickly. i'm disappointed in how much thick wire is routed throughout the jacket. this negates any of the benefits from the thinness of the microwire. it seems like they use one size of wiring harness for all the jackets. i purchased a medium and it feels like there's an extra large harness wired in the jacket with excess wire all along the sleeve and shoulder. the excess wires aren't very comfortable but the jacket does work.

Timbren GMFK15A Front Suspension Enhancement System for GM G30/G3500 03-09 Review

I have an '06 1500 Avalanche that I bought a medium duty plow for. The front sagged pretty badly so I opted for a pair of these. Installation was easy though I had to undo the bottom of the shocks to get the suspension to open enough to get them in, not really an issue. They worked really well with the plow on, driving around was no problem, the front end hardly sagged and ride height was pretty close. The problem for me was that I just use this plow for my own driveway so 99.9% of the time when I drive the truck the plow is off. Without the plow the front sat way too high, rode...well...like a truck, and didn't handle properly, it over-steered fairly hard. In fact, they added so much support that you could see an obvious negative camber in the front wheels when viewed from the front, they were actually lifting the front. So these were really useless to me. On the other hand, I emailed Timbren and they just sent me out another model which, not only installed easier (if you can imagine that!), but didn't effect the truck with the plow off. The new ones don't offer quite as much support as the one's in this listing but they don't effect ride height at all with the plow off, which is what I needed. Unfortunately, I can't tell you what part number they are as the box they came in had the same part number as the ones that were too stiff - go figure - but there's an obvious difference between the two. So, if you're going to have the plow on most of the time these may be what the doctor ordered but if you need the truck to be drivable with the plow off you may want to contact Timbren and find out what these lighter-duty ones are that they sent me. My hat's off to Timbren for customer service like that, they never charged me for the second set, not even for shipping, nor did they ask for the old ones back! (Um, they're for sale BTW!)

Just got back from a 3,000 mile road trip with my new Saddleman BR3400EX
bag. The bag preformed great, lots of different size pockets for all your
stuff. I love the rain cover that is provided. The only negative thing that
I found out about this bag, is that it would not fit over my 14 inch wide
passenger back rest. I had to go to a local shoe repair shop and have 2 inches
added to the material that fits over the backrest. It appears that Saddleman
only designed this bag to fit 6 inches to 12 inch backrest. I have a Harley
RoadKing classic with a 14 inch backrest. Without adding the additional 2 inches
the bag would not of fit on my RoadKing.
