Reese Towpower 37004 Class III/IV 2" Square Tube Premium Receiver with Hitch Plug Cover Review

This bolted right up to my Chevy Express van. I was a little leary of the three piece design, but man does it make it easier to lift and bolt up the hitch. I installed another hitch on an Express van that was one piece. That was a chore to wrestle that into position and get nuts started on the bolts. This hitch also has a nice heavy bracket mount just to the driver's side of the receiver opening. The Hopkins trailer wiring bracket bolted right up to the pre-drilled holes in the Reese hitch. Super clean installation. I did take it a step further and used stop-nuts with the nylon inserts rather than the supplied nuts and lock washers. I did use the supplied nuts and washers to completely seat the studs that hold the cross beam to the end brackets. Then I backed those nuts off and replaced with stop-nuts. Perhaps a little on the over-kill side, but I don't want anything vibrating loose. I also removed the chromed plastic trim from the receiver. I have black bumpers and the little bit of chrome just looked tacky.

The covers fit fine on the seats but aren't perfect on the console. They are water resistant, it beads up and can be swept off. My truck gets dirty and the off-white seats would have looked terrible. I bought this hitch to tow our ski boat. Its been a great buy so far. It's easy to adjust, durable and nice looking. After purchasing this hitch, I went back and purchased a couple of their accessory products. They have all kinds of attachments that fit on the base of the hitch, where the ball mount would go. I got a step to get into the truck bed a little easier and an attachment that has a swiveling tongue so I can just back up to the boat trailer and it I'm not close enough I just move the hitch tongue to meet the trailer. It's made loading the trailer a lot faster. Nice Products.
