Bought these for my 2011 1500 SLT Quad Cab. I am thoroughly impressed by these speakers! When I first started looking for something to upgrade from the factory speakers, I found that my choices were limited because most after markets were too deep to fit in the door's speaker well. Of course, there were several installers that said they could "modify" the factory speaker opening but I had 2 problems with that. One, I didn't want to spend the money and two, I don't like the idea of someone cutting into or building up the door. So I took a shot with these KICKERs. These speakers are a 1000% improvement over the factory speakers! I still have the stock head unit and even so, the highs and voice are no longer blended in the background; they are clear and well defined. The base is also wonderfully rich and heavy. Look, I'm no audiophile but I do know that I got the sound quality I wanted at a descent price. In the end, it sounds like I spent more than just a couple hundred bucks improving my sound quality! It was so easy to install, literally plug and play. These come with connectors that match the factor plugs, no cutting and stripping wires! I expected the tweeters to be difficult to install but they weren't. Just pop the grills on the dash, remove the factory 2" and replace with the tweeters. Again, plug and play! Kicker also makes a 6x9 3 way set that I put in the rear doors even though the description claimed they were for the front. Both sets together are an excellent combination! I would highly recommend these to anyone who wants excellent sound quality without breaking the bank. . .or your doors.
