This review is only for a Ford Fusion. There are six mounting bolts that secure this unit to your car. Two of them line up with drain holes under the spare tire. Two of them line up with bolts on the side frame. And two of them line up with the rear frame behind the bumper where two holes must be drilled. This is where someone did not do their research. After drilling the holes, a wire bolt guide (supplied) is fed through the drilled holes and out each end of the frame which is a hollow rectangular tube and is open at the ends. The bolt is supposed to be attached to the end of the wire guide and pulled into the frame and down through the drilled holes. The problem is no one checked the diameter of frame tube which is about 1 1/4 inches and the bolts supplied are 1 1/2 inches long which is too long to rotate vertical and be pulled through the drilled holes. The solution is to saw off about 3/8 inch of the bolts(any more and the bolts are too short to secure the hitch) or purchase new bolts that are 1 1/8 inches long.
