I bought this rack in combination with a class 2 hitch for my 2013 Ford Fusion as an alternative to vehicle damaging trunk mounts and insanely expensive roof rack systems. This seemed to be a good middle ground between functionality and value.

Pros:
Price (one of the cheaper platform racks)
Hitch pin lock included
Avoids damage to bike frame and vehicle
Built quality is descent

Cons:
Honestly security is sort of a joke. There are two major problems when it comes to the frame lock. One, the ratchet and rail are plastic which is very easy to break to a determined thief. Two, the entire arm holding the frame lock down is just two small bolts that could easily be removed (they should have at least made them some sort of star or secuirty bit). Will this handle a trip to get a cup of coffee? Probably... I certainly wouldn't leave my expensive bike strapped to it while I went to the beach or shopped at the mall. I would estimate that you could dismount a bike within a couple solid minutes with the right tools.
Also the frame mount bar wobbles. You can't tighten it any farther or the arm will not swing to the side for storage (a flaw of design). I haven't taken my bike anywhere yet so I can't say whether or not this is a problem. It shouldn't be but it certainly doesn't make me feel warm and fuzzy inside.
Lastly, the instructions are an absolute joke. There is one page that has 4 different diagrams (steps) that all have the exact same text which doesn't even apply to that step. If you aren't at all mechanically inclined you are going to spend a fair amount of time trying to figure out what is going on... someone that is a bit technical should be able to figure it out by looking at the picture on the box and the lackluster instructions.

I have to say that I'm not sure I would buy it again. I would probably spend a bit more on a better rack.
