I own two Mercedes diesels that both have top oil filters and takes only Mobil 1 ESP Formula M 5w40. When the Quick-lube place refused to do my oil change because of those special needs, I decided to start changing my own oil again. I started out with the Mityvac 7201 but that was taking me forever to change oil (over 2 hours and a whole lot of hand pumping) so I searched for a better way.

I found it with this 6.25 gallon Pneumatic Oil Extractor. It has a capacity of 6.25 gallons, and a stated suction capacity of 4 1/4 gallons. 4 1/4 gallons equals 17 quarts, or 16 liters. It pumps at the rate of 2 quarts per minute! I can change my 9 quarts of oil in less than 5 minutes. No more stopping halfway thru to empty the oil (less of a chance to screw up).

You will need an air compressor, but I already had that.

This unit is expensive but the quality is way ahead of the Mityvac.

I purchased mine at Harbor Freight for only $132 plus tax, but I was pleased to see Amazon start selling these. Goodbye Mityvac!
