I have been researching subwoofers for the past few months to replace the mediocre house subs in my trunk. I recently went and looked at a pair of W3s at a local car audio store, After all my research I wanted a rockford P3 over anything. The guy I spoke with kept telling me to go with Jl over anything and I didnt know much about Jl at the time so I was skeptical. We went to the sound room and cranked up 2 P3s max volume and he switched over to the w3s and I was sold immediately, they did NOT bottom out at max volume, they were twice as loud, the clarity is remarkable with such crisp warm bass. So I spent $200 on the badboy got some 12 gauge wire amd a Jl w3 grille. I installed it in an old 1.6 cb ft ported box. Im pushing it with a 600 W Rms sony Xm-gs 100 Amp and it handle 600 watts Rms No problem. No matter how hard I push it the clarity remains and never bottoms out. I listen to alot of dubstep and Metal and it keeps up very well with fast double bass and hits low notes with a BANG. This Sub is worth saving your money for, Big Thanks to Jl for such a promising Product.
